Words for Bangalore



Greetings from Max Mueller Bhavan!

"words for bangalore"


at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday December 17, 2005
at
Max Mueller Bhavan.

This video installation, specially created for the MMB Inaugural Programme by the German stage designer Penelope Wehrli is an interplay of carefully selected images in German, Kannada and English, involving the innovative use of lighting, and is designed to illuminate the new MMB building - and beyond.

The installation will run till the 23rd and is best viewed after dark - 6.30-8 p.m.
This is definitely a don't miss event!

German Films: Artur Brauner

Artur Brauner - A tribute to humanity and tolerance

Max Mueller Bhavan, in collaboration with LACEfilms, presentsFilm retrospective on Artur Brauner

Artur Brauner is arguably the most influential film producer of post-war Germany. From the beginning of his career, he was driven to produce films honouring the victims of the Third Reich. When the Nazis invaded Lódz, Poland, Brauner's home town; they killed forty-nine of his relatives. For this Goethe-Institut series, Artur Brauner has selected ten of the most outstanding films resulting from his lifelong endeavour to honour the victims of Hitler's regime.
The screenings, conveniently spread over two weekends, will be followed by discussion, moderated by cineastes from LACEfilms – a great opportunity for film buffs in Bangalore.
Entry is free. Passes are available at Max Mueller Bhavan and Suchitra Film Society Auditorium. Hurry, limited passes.
