Want to try a Korean thali?

If you want to try some authentic Korean food, go to Hae Kum Gang on Castle Street!

They don't seem to have Indianized anything, so be prepared for some unfamiliar tastes! Nicely done up place, good service, 3 of us ordered 2 dishes (some of them are like thalis, with many accompaniments) came to Rs. 650. The Chicken Chulpan Set was very nice! They have photos of all dishes in menu, so that makes it easier to decide! A Korean friend of a friend had the food and she said it was authentic.

No. 20, Paul Castle, 2nd Floor, Castle Street.
Castle street: Is one-way. Go down from Brigade road, cross St.Joseph's Commerce college and St.Patrick's complex, at the junction, take the left after the huge Show Off shop, go down, take the first left, and turn left again to enter Castle Street. Hae Kum Gang is on your right. Coming from Hosur Road, after Vellara Junction (Sparks Pub, Crown café, All Saints Bakery), you turn right at the Show Off shop and follow the same directions.

P.S: They are closed on Sunday afternoon for lunch.

Yes, they did have some vegetarian stuff, though the majority was non-veg. In fact most of the accompaniments in the thali are vegetarian - radish, chinese cabbage, potatoes, brinjal...and a dessert with fruits like musk melon.
